5.14 - My Bloody Valentine

Commence the random! [Beware of spoilers (obviously) if you haven't seen it yet.]
Okay, first off: sooo clever, writers, to make the fourteenth episode one about Valentine's Day. And to title it after the Smackles's horror flick. I am just endlessly amused in a fan-girly kind of way.
I loved Dean being man-molested by Cupid--the twitchy snarl he gave and the desperate eyerolling were hilarious. And especially the fact that after he was released it was all Dean could do to keep his eyes above waist level. It was like watching him watching a slow-motion train wreck. You just can't...not...look....down, no matter how much you want to....not. Errr, confusing.
I loved that Sam was wearing that blue/brown plaid monstrosity that Jared wore to that one convention (read: too lazy to look up which one specifically). You know, that shirt that makes him look like he should have a rope in his belt loop to go wrangle some cattle? That one.
Famine was so scary! Gah, it's the small pitiful ones that are the scariest! I mean, when I was 12 and watching Lord of the Rings, I could handle orcs no prob. Gollum, on the other hand, scares me to this day. And Famine is right up there on that list. I will never look at black Escalades in the same way again.
Dean's repeat of "No, Sammy," broke my heart. In little pieces. All over the floor. AND SAM LISTENED! *rejoicing* His lock-down this time was painful, but not as bad as it was before, because it was voluntary and he and Dean aren't arguing (so Sam's demon-blood-soaked brain isn't saying things like, "I hate you, Dean, let me out of here." Instead, it's saying things like, "Dean, please help me," which probably hurts Dean more, but also makes my fan-girl heart squee with shmoopy love). BTW, Dean's eyes when he saw Sam's face covered in blood--there are no words.
I almost laughed when Dean said, "I like to think it's because of my strength of character," because I was flashing back to "I like to think it's because of my perky nipples." Oh brain. You take me to the most interesting places.
Dean's prayer at the end reminded me so much of when he called John for help back when they were young and innocent (sorta) and going back to their house for the first time.
/randomness.
Why such a long wait until hiatus is over?
